      Expanded Metal made from a sheet of metal sheet uniformly slit and stretched, forming diamond-shaped or other shape openings in the sheet or rolls.

      Expanded is a one piece construction that won’t unravel and under normal circumstances and will hold its shape for many years. This opening shape can’t change if by strong touching .The strands and bonds of the diamond-shaped trusses add strength and rigidity.

      Expanded metal is used in:

      • grates,

      • in outdoor furniture

      • fencing,

      • installation of "heating floor" system;

      • plastering (metal lath)

      It is often used for guarding to prevent contact with hot surfaces or machinery.

      Expanded metal is often used for architectural details and finds use in security applications such as in the walls of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility because, in heavier grades, it is difficult to breach without heavy cutting equipment or explosives.

      Used with concrete in buildings and construction, maintenance of equirpments, making of arts and crafts, covering screen for first class sound case. Also fencing for super highway, studio, highway. Heavy expanded metal can be used as step mesh of oil tanks, working platform, corridor and walking road for heavy model equipment, boiler, petroleum and mine well, automobile vehicles, big ships. Also serve as reinforcing bar in construction, railway and bridges.
